Our Goals, Mission, and Vision

Goals

Raising Awareness:

We aim to deliver culturally sensitive and relevant information about trauma, including Black trauma and mental health within Black and ethnic minority communities across the UK, with a particular focus on Liberian and African diaspora groups. Using workshops, social media, printed materials, and community events, we work to increase understanding, reduce stigma, and encourage open conversations about mental health and wellbeing.

Creating a Safe Place:

We are dedicated to establishing spaces where Black and ethnic minority individuals can speak openly about their mental health without fear of judgment or discrimination. Whether through support groups or informal gatherings, we ensure these spaces honour cultural identity, lived experience, and community values.

Empowerment:

We aim to equip Black and ethnic minority communities with practical tools—such as breathing techniques, grounding exercises, and culturally relevant coping strategies—to help manage symptoms and improve wellbeing. This is especially important for those with limited access to healthcare. Our aim is to help people take control of their mental health, strengthen resilience, and improve quality of life.

Vision

Our mission is to make mental health information clear, accessible, and culturally relevant for Black and ethnic minority communities in the UK, particularly those from Liberian and African diaspora backgrounds. We aim to break down barriers to understanding, create spaces where conversations about mental health are normalised, and work towards ending the stigma that too often silences our communities.

 Mission

Our mission is to make mental health information clear, accessible, and culturally relevant for Black and ethnic minority communities, especially for those who may not have a formal educational background. We aim to create inclusive environments where open, honest conversations about mental health are encouraged and normalised—particularly within Liberian and other diaspora communities—so that stigma is reduced, understanding is deepened, and wellbeing is improved.
